John Campbell succeeds Jim Rowe, who was promoted to lead the company’s Stakeholder Relations Group in July
Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) today announced that Investor
Relations (IR) Manager John Campbell has been promoted to lead the IR
group, effective Sept. 15. As Director of IR, Campbell succeeds Jim
Rowe, who served in IR for over a decade before being promoted in July
to lead the company’s new Stakeholder Relations Group.
Campbell has been with Wells Fargo and its legacy banks for more than 20
years in a variety of roles and has served as a manager in the IR group
for the last seven years. He will continue to be based in San Francisco
and will report to Rowe.
“John has been an important leader within Investor Relations and is well
known to investors, analysts, and other stakeholders,” Rowe said. “I
have full confidence in John’s ability to lead the IR effort and expect
the transition to be seamless for our stakeholders. He is fortunate to
be supported by the strength of the long-tenured Wells Fargo IR team and
the engagement of leaders across the company.”
IR, Corporate Communications, and Government Relations & Public Policy
make up Wells Fargo’s Stakeholders Relations Group, which was formed to
foster a more integrated approach to engaging with its key stakeholders.
Led by Rowe, the group partners with other groups in the company to
build and execute a comprehensive, fully integrated stakeholder
relations program.
“As Wells Fargo continues to focus on rebuilding trust with all of its
stakeholders, John and his strong IR team will play a key role in our
continuing effort to be open and transparent with Wells Fargo investors,
analysts, and our other constituents,” said Chief Financial Officer John
Shrewsberry. “John has proven himself to be a terrific partner to me and
many other senior leaders within the company, and I look forward to
continuing to work with him in his new role.”
Campbell has held various positions in IR, Mortgage, Treasury, Financial
Planning & Analysis, and Accounting during his two decades at Wells
Fargo. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova
University and an MBA in Finance from the University of San Francisco.
