Ari Kavour and Mike Llodra to lead one of the largest residential real estate financing, structuring and capital markets advisory teams
NEW YORK – Wells Fargo Securities, the investment banking and capital markets business of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC), announced that Ari Kavour and Mike Llodra have been appointed co-heads of the Mortgage Finance Group, reporting to Chris Pink, head of Asset-Backed Finance & Securitization. The Mortgage Finance Group provides capital markets solutions and financing in the form of warehouse and term financing to companies and investors that own, originate or invest in residential real estate loans or securities.
“The Mortgage Finance Group extends financing and provides capital markets advice to originators, servicers and investors active in the residential sector,” said Pink. “Under the leadership and guidance of Kavour and Llodra — and with their combined expertise across banking, structuring and trading — the group will dovetail more closely with the distribution and trading desks in Wells Fargo Securities to bring end-to-end capital markets solutions to our clients.”
Kavour joined Wells Fargo Securities in 2012 to lead the Residential Mortgage Backed Securities/Mortgage Trading team. He has nearly 25 years of experience, previously serving as co-head of the Collateralized Mortgage Obligation and Agency Adjustable-rate Mortgage Trading businesses for Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, Kavour was head of the Agency Mortgage Trading business for Merrill Lynch and also traded a wide range of agency and non-agency mortgage securities for 11 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Llodra has more than 30 years of structured finance experience, most recently serving as the head of Asset-Backed Finance & Securitization Capital Markets at Wells Fargo Securities. He will continue to oversee this group until a successor is named at a later date. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Securities in 2011, Llodra was a structured finance specialist at Harvard Management. He also served in previous roles as head of the Structured Product Collateralized Desk Obligation securities desks at J.P. Morgan, Bank of America and Citigroup.
