Seasoned investment banker to enhance coverage of the Transportation and Logistics sector
NEW YORK – Wells Fargo Securities, the investment banking and capital markets business of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC), announced today that Christopher Wofford has joined the Industrials Investment Banking group as managing director, covering the transportation and logistics sector. He is based in New York, reporting to Jessica Gray, managing director and head of transportation and logistics coverage.
“Chris brings more than 25 years of investment banking experience, a majority of which has been in the transportation and logistics sector,” stated Gray. “The depth and breadth of his relationships, coupled with his expertise advising on significant M&A and corporate finance transactions, will position us for continued success as we deepen and strengthen our Industrials Investment Banking franchise.”
The transportation and logistics sector is a subsector of the Industrials Investment Banking group, which is led by John Church. Leveraging its advisory and capital markets expertise, together with its significant capital commitment, the Industrials Investment Banking group has completed more than 500 transactions since 2017 and served as advisor or lead bank to many important companies in the industry.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Wofford served as head of transportation and logistics at Robert W. Baird. Previously, he held senior leadership positions at Macquarie Capital, Bank of America, and Bear Stearns. He received a B.A. from Oberlin College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
